Remember the first change to the "NEW KZPS" not really any change, but they were doing a format something like this:

"THE NEW KZPS, THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION"

"THE NEW KZPS, THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION"

"THE NEW KZPS, THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION"

"THE NEW KZPS, THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION"

"THE NEW KZPS, THE CLASSIC ROCK STATION"

REPEAT, REPEAT

Re: KZPS Lone Star 92.5, a Clear Channel Experiement

This crap is still on the air. They are playing as many commercials now as any other station. I never turned it to anything else. I live in the Muscle Shoals area of Alabama, where Jason and the DBT's hail from and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They don't hardly play em here at home. Keep up the good work!

todd g.

Re: KZPS Lone Star 92.5, a Clear Channel Experiement

Cannot stand the new format. I like listening to country as well but there are more than enough country stations out there. Why would they decide to take away one of the few classic rock stations? I have to sit through a dozen or so completely obscure pieces of CRAP in order to hear one halfway decent tune now.

This is the epitome of corporate MORONS thinking they know what is best. Well, at least there's still 93.3 THE BONE. I own 3,000 plus albums and enjoy variety. I find it refreshing to hear seldom played music. Yes they are a bit redundant but give 'em time and any successful business will listen to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Give them a chance,
Rome wasn't built in a day. What's up with trashing Hank Jr.??? More importantly doesen't anybody know enough words to say something more profound than "It sucks"!! Is everyone stuck in a rut. I guess many local listeners would prefer to hear Led Zepplen, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Floyd etc. over and over again and then think the new format is repetative. If classic rock and roll is what they truly want then what happend to Robin Troyer, Pat Travers, Moxy, and others like Frank Moreno and Mahogany Rush. They rarely if ever played any of them. As for me a little John Mayall never hurt anybody considering I'm sick of Iron Butterfly.

Re: KZPS Lone Star 92.5, a Clear Channel Experiement

Way too late comming to Dallas.
